Former News-Press columnist Martha Smilgis was interviewed on the Today show this morning about the Ronni Chasen murder case.
Smilgis, who parted ways from the News-Press in late 2006, was a close friend and is named co-executor in the will of the Hollywood publicist whose mysterious murder in Beverly Hills has police and everyone else baffled. Chasen was slain as she was driving home after attending the red carpet premier of the movie Burlesque.
Carpinteria writer Ann Louise Bardach has an article posted on the Daily Beast which raises the question of whether those who are proceeding on the assumption that the killer was a professional hit man may very well be wrong.
