The News-Press appears to be endorsing a straight Republican ticket. The Independent a straight Democratic slate. Surprise! Surprise!
By the way, if a newspaper wants to maximize the influence of its endorsements should they really put them behind a pay wall as the News-Press does?
Well, at least they didn't wait until the day before the election to announce their endorsements as they did in 2008 when they endorsed John McCain.
Appearing to sit out this election cycle, at least as far as endorsements go, is the Daily Sound.
James Zoltak, former assistant city editor at the News- Press, now has his byline appearing regularly in the Daily Sound.
According to She Said, Z Said at Noozhawk, the hottest rumor around town is that Oprah will be handing out iPods to Halloween trick-or-treaters and that Wendy McCaw will be handing out subpoenas.
