In an e-mail sent out to Mike Stoker supporters on Friday morning, Cory Bantilan, Stoker's campaign manager in the race for 35th District Assembly talked about the campaign's TV response to a Das Williams "hit piece" mailer regarding Stoker's sources of income.
The mailer points out that Stoker has worked in the past as the District Director for State Senator Tony Strickland and has also hired himself out as a private consultant to Greka Oil, an outfit notorious for having problems containing oil spills at their Los Alamos area facility.
In the e-mail, Bantilan tells the faithful: "Fortunately, there is a person inside the Das Williams campaign who let us know in advance that this piece was coming so we were able to make a TV spot earlier this week to respond."
Whoa! Double agents in a local campaign! Who woulda thunk it?
