If you read Thursday's editorial in the News-Press you would have been treated to one of the paper's patented diatribes against the salaries and retirement benefits of city employees.
The editorial noted that City Administrator Jim Armstrong makes more money than the governor of California.
Of course, considering the fact that the state is paying its bills with I.O.U.'s and the city isn't, I'd say Armstrong has had a better year than the governor has.
