That was a very nice column that Barney Brantingham had in Thursday's Santa Barbara Independent about Father Virgil Cordano and it could not have been more timely.
Father Virgil passed away Thursday at age 89 after a long illness.
If you've lived in Santa Barbara any length of time hopefully you had the chance to cross paths with him at least once.
I did and I consider myself to have been very lucky.
