It can't be that much money, but I guess it is. The Obama at Oprah's fundraiser set for September 8th is already sold out. And they aren't letting in a mere 400 or 500 people but rather cutting it off at 1000. At $2,300 a head that means the event will raise a cool $2.3 million.
The one thousand who will be attending are coming from all over the country. Because so many locals were shut out there will be another Obama event earlier that same day but at a different location and limited to locals only. It will be the same price and Obama will be there.
BTW. Can anybody pack a place quicker than Obama? Can anyone clear one out faster than Wendy McCaw?
As if you needed to be reminded, Fiesta starts today. The five-day party kicks off tonight at the Mission with La Fiesta Pequena. Once that's out of the way the Fiesta del Borracho begins.
Is it just me or are people who think the blue line project is a good idea harder to find than weapons of mass destruction in Iraq?
