Taryn Smith is a 17-year-old Santa Barbara native.She is the daughter of the local blogger Craig Smith, and in his words, raising her is the one thing that he has done right.Taryn is interested in writing, especially about pop culture and politics.Her favorite activities are spending hours on end at the De La Guerra Starbucks, as well as watching “Pretty Little Liars” and “The Daily Show”.Things she doesn’t like are high school, “Jersey Shore”, and the fact that her dad refuses to buy her a new laptop.She can often be seen spending time with her dad because she is too lazy and scared to get a driver’s license.Taryn has dreams of becoming a blogger, a screenwriter, or a sign language interpreter.She has a strong dislike towards math and chemistry classes, but loves AP English and clubs centered towards social justice.
