Coleen Sullivan Out at KEYT?

It looks like Coleen Sullivan, KEYT's weekend anchor and a field reporter as well, is no longer with the station.

Her bio no longer appears on the page on the station's website showing the local ABC affiliate's on-air talent and the website also has a job posting saying that they are looking for a weekend anchor.

Sullivan has been off the air since early November when she took maternity leave. Shortly after she went on leave she gave birth to a boy. While Sullivan has been away the Saturday and Sunday anchor duties have been handled by Tracy Lehr, the station's Ventura bureau reporter.

Before coming to KEYT in February of 2009 Sullivan's previous job in broadcast news was in Dayton, Ohio. Earlier in her career she worked in Palm Springs and broke into TV news at a station in Eureka, California.

It's funny how the custom in the broadcast news industry is to seldom say anything when a reporter or anchor leaves the station. Viewers build up loyalties and like to keep track of their favorites. Or maybe the fear is we will follow our favorites when they go elsewhere?
