Six applicants for the vacancy on the Santa Barbara City Council have initiatlly been deemed ineligible.
According to the City Clerk's office they are:
Nancy Sirbu
Charles E. Huff
Jerry Matteo
Audrey Addison Williams
Della Rosales
Marilyn Rickard
Reasons for ineligibility may include: Not listed as a registered voter in the County Elections Office voter database and, as a result, not a "qualified elector" as required by the City Charter
Registered at an address different from the residence listed on the application and, as a result, not a "qualified elector" as required by the City Charter
Not residing at the registration address listed in the County Elections Office voter database for a period of 30 days or more and, as a result, not a "qualified elector" as required by the City Charter
These applicants have until Monday, December 6, 2010, to provide information which substantiates qualification.
Interviews before the Council are scheduled for the following evening starting at 5 pm.
