LA Times Goes Mad (Hatter)

Is there any real estate on the pages of the daily newspaper that is off limits when it comes to selling ads? Evidently not. At least not at the LA Times.

Wrapped around Friday's edition of the paper was a four page advertising supplement for the movie Alice In Wonderland that was designed to look like, well, the front page of the paper.

One of my Facebook friends described it as, "visually cool and journalistically shocking."

There's no longer any question as to whether the front page of the Times is for sale. The only remaining question is, how much? Reportedly, in the range of $700,000 for this particular ad.

Well, remember what the Dormouse said: Never pass up an opportunity to line your pockets.
