iPhone 3G, Sold Out In Goleta!

"Esther," one of the lucky ones, holding her new iPhone.

John Dickson arrived at the AT&T store located at Camino Real Marketplace in Goleta at 5:15 Friday morning to line up to buy the new 3G iPhone. That was nearly a full three hours before the store opened.

The line didn't look to bad, "It just went around the corner." So he thought his chances were good.

By 11 a.m. he finally made it to the front of the line. Unfortunately, by that time the AT&T store had just sold the last of its allotment of 30 iPhones.

John took it well. He remained in line to put in his order to receive a phone next week.

There were still quite a few people behind him in line waiting to do the same thing.

Reportedly, the AT&T store in La Cumbre Plaza sold out its allotment of 100 iPhones.
