SB Film Fest Winners Announced


The winning films at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival were announced at a breakfast held at Fess Parker's Doubletree Sunday morning.


Julie Ramos of the KTYD Morning Show along with Jim Sirianni of KTMS. Julie MC'd the awards presentation.


Here is the list of winners:

Panavision Spirit Award for Independent Cinema: Poppy Shakespeare

Best International Film Award: A Woman in Berlin

Nueva Vision Award for best Spanish language feature: Amar a morir

Best Documentary: Yes Madam, Sir

Best Animation: This Way Up

Best Eastern Block cinema: Tulpan

Bruce Corwin Award for Best Live Action Short Film Under 30 Minutes: Love You More

The Fund for Santa Barbara Social Justice Award: Yes, Madam, Sir

No, He Sure Isn't Gary Busey



Mickey Rourke with director Francis Ford Coppola, who presented Rourke with the SBIFF's American Rivera Award.
